It reveals how your genes shape nutrition and vitamin metabolism, and explains why some deficiencies keep returning.
Builds on your Core Health Test, explaining recurring flags like low Vitamin D, B12 or iron.
Genetic Testing
From S$485 when added to your Core Health Test.
Your Core Health Test shows your biology right now. Four genetic tests reveal the inherited risks written into your DNA, the part your bloodwork can't show.
Start TestingThe tests
Four tests to add to your Core Health Test, each also available on its own. Every one goes deeper on something your bloodwork has already raised, or reaches somewhere it cannot.

It reads your lifetime, inherited risk of breast cancer across the BRCA1, BRCA2 and PALB2 genes.
Complements the cancer markers in your Core Health Test, which look for possible existing disease, by reading your inherited risk instead.
It reads your genetic cardiac risk, confirms or rules out Familial Hypercholesterolaemia, and includes the statin-response gene.
Takes a closer look when your cholesterol comes back high on your Core Health Test, including whether it runs in the family.
It uses APOE genotyping to assess your risk of late-onset Alzheimer's. Every result includes genetic counselling to help you understand what it means.
Extends your health picture into brain health, something your bloodwork doesn't cover.
How it works
Your doctor completes a short eligibility and consent check at your screening visit, before any sample is taken.
We collect your sample in clinic, a quick buccal swab or a blood draw, depending on the test.
CardioStrands and NeuroStrands include genetic counselling as standard. NutriReady is reviewed with your Health Coach. For MammoReady, counselling is arranged if a result is elevated.
Results and clinical notes are logged to your PROTOCOL record, so your full picture stays in one place.
Choose a test yourself, or your PROTOCOL doctor may recommend one based on your Core Health Test results.
The science
CardioStrands reads 40 genes plus the SLCO1B1 statin-response gene, far deeper than population microarray screens.
Aligned to the June 2025 MOH circular mainstreaming Familial Hypercholesterolaemia testing, built on National Heart Centre FHCare data.
APOE (NeuroStrands) and BRCA1/2 plus PALB2 (MammoReady) are among the most validated genes in their fields.

Common questions
You test once
PROTOCOL's genetic tests provide information about inherited risk and gene variants to support your understanding of your health. They are educational and are not a diagnosis: a result indicates a risk or predisposition, not the presence or absence of disease, and should be interpreted in the context of your clinical information by a qualified medical professional or genetic counsellor. You should continue age-appropriate, guideline-directed health screening. NutriReady and MammoReady use a buccal swab; CardioStrands and NeuroStrands use a blood sample. Tests are performed by our laboratory partners, Nalagenetics and LifeStrands.
