What the numbers speak to

The conditions behind the biomarkers.

These are the areas the panel assesses. A marker outside optimal range is not a diagnosis, it is a reason to look closer with your doctor.

FAQ

Health screening in Singapore, answered.

How much does the Core Health Test cost in Singapore?
$649 a year, which works out to about $54 a month, charged annually and before GST. Bought test by test, the same panel runs into the thousands. Optional add-ons such as genetics, imaging and specialised cancer screening are priced transparently, and bundling saves up to $750.
What does the Core Health Membership include?
One blood draw covering 100+ biomarkers across heart, hormones, metabolism, inflammation, nutrients, organs and cancer markers, plus an InBody body composition scan. Membership includes unlimited 40 minute doctor consultations, in clinic or by video call, where every number is explained, ongoing health coaching, InBody scans on demand, a free retest at six months on anything flagged, and your dashboard with Protocol Score, biological age, pace of ageing, biomarker trends and the protocols your doctor builds for you. $649 a year, before GST, cancel anytime.
Can I use MediSave or CHAS to pay for the Core Health Test?
No. MediSave can only be used for nationally recommended screening under Screen for Life, and CHAS subsidies apply at participating CHAS clinics. The Core Health Test sits outside both schemes because it goes well beyond the nationally recommended set. If you are eligible for Screen for Life, it is worth using, and it covers a small number of markers on a fixed schedule. The Core Health Test is the layer above that: 100+ biomarkers, a doctor who reads them before you arrive, and a retest six months later to see whether anything moved. At $649 a year, that is $54 a month.
How does this compare to the health screening my company provides?
Corporate screening usually runs 20 to 30 markers, produces a PDF, and ends there. It is designed to be defensible at scale, not to tell you where your health is heading. Three differences matter. First, coverage: most of what we flag comes from markers a standard corporate panel does not run, including ApoB, Lp(a), fasting insulin and homocysteine. Second, interpretation: you get a 40 minute conversation with a doctor, not a report and a number to call if concerned. Third, the second look: we retest anything flagged at six months, so you find out whether it is moving, which a once-a-year snapshot can never tell you. If your company already pays for screening, keep it. It is a useful baseline. The Core Health Test answers the questions it was never built to answer.
How does the Core Health Test compare to my annual physical?
A standard annual physical tests around 24 markers and ends with a PDF. The Core Health Test screens 100+, including advanced markers a routine panel rarely covers such as ApoB, hs-CRP, urine albumin/creatinine, full iron studies and a full hormone and thyroid panel run for women as standard, not just men. A doctor then explains every result in a 40 minute review, acts on what it finds, and tracks your trajectory year over year. In our own data, 76% of what we flag comes from a marker a routine screening does not include.
Do I need to fast before the test?
Yes, fast for 8 to 12 hours before your blood draw. Plain water is fine. Our team sends you everything you need to prepare when you book.
Do I get a medical certificate for the visit?
A health screening is not a medical consultation for illness, so it does not come with an MC. The blood draw takes about 20 minutes and most members come before work. Your doctor review is booked separately, at a time that suits you, and can be done by video if getting back to the clinic is difficult.
How long do results take?
Most results are ready within two working days, with key markers back the same day. You will be notified as soon as they land in your dashboard, and you can book your doctor review straight away, in clinic or by video.
How often should I get a health screening?
Once a year for the full panel, with a free retest at six months on anything flagged, so you are not waiting a whole year to find out whether something has improved. Because every result feeds one record, your screening becomes more useful each year as the trend line lengthens.
Who needs the Core Health Membership?
Anyone who wants to know where their health is heading rather than wait for symptoms. It suits adults from their thirties onward, people with a family history of heart disease, diabetes or cancer, anyone whose annual screening has always come back "normal" without ever explaining what normal means for them, and anyone already training, supplementing or on treatment who wants to see whether it is working. In our own data, 96% of people arrived with at least one biomarker worth acting on.
Can I get a personalized, comprehensive health screening in Singapore?
Yes. The Core Health Test is built around your history, age, sex and risk profile rather than a fixed package. The base panel covers 100+ biomarkers, and your doctor adds genetics, imaging or specialised screening where your results or family history call for it. Every review is a 40 minute conversation with a doctor who has read your numbers before you walk in, at our clinic at 71 Robinson Road or by video.
How do I cancel my membership?
Message the team and we will cancel it. There is no lock-in and no cancellation fee. Your membership stays active until the end of the year you have paid for, so nothing you have already booked is lost.
Is PROTOCOL a licensed and regulated provider?
Yes. Our physicians are licensed by the Singapore Medical Council, the clinic is regulated by the Ministry of Health, and any medications we prescribe are HSA regulated. All testing runs through accredited laboratory partners.
